ICOD - Italian Community of Designers is a cultural association founded in 2006 by architect Giuseppe Finocchio to promote and diffuse the design in the most varied forms. The association was formalized in 2006 by organizing the first edition of the "Palermo Design Week," an event that has exhibited works by artists coming from various parts of the world, Brazil, Mexico, Japan, Lithuania, Serbia, Italy, which become a beautiful moment of meeting, opportunity of interaction, cultural exchange and socialization. Since then ICOD promotes and organizes cultural events with particular attention to the Italian art and design panorama.
Among the different activities icod is also the promoter of the cultural association "The Genius of the Two Sicilies", a collective of designers of southern Italy in touring exhibition in Italy and abroad.
In 2014 born the idea to open some ICOD gallery-shop, places where to converge work of self-producers designers, creators of limited editions, makers, all those talents who represent the Italian design excellence which are an important cultural resource of Italy.
The intent of the association is building relationships, exchanges and synergies among the different actors of the processes of conception, design and production, creating a network of collaborations that gives to all members more communicative and informative power.
Another aspect taken care by the association is the international distribution of the designers works, promoting the made in Italy, not only from a design point of view but also productive.
